At Portalum, we believe in our products and are always on a constant quest for improvement
continuous, to give a greater guarantee to our customers. Due to this development, we have tested and approved our sliding doors as pivot doors with wind class II.
The CLASS II rating is the characteristic of the doors to withstand wind gusts of 98.6 km/h. We have applied, with the help of certain tools, similar forces, carrying out a test with the criteria defined in the European standard UNE-EN 13241:2004+A2:2017 “Industrial, commercial and garage doors and gates. Product standard, performance characteristics” harmonized for the “Construction Products Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011”, in which the UNE-EN wind load resistance standards are also applied
12424:2000 and UNE-EN 12444:2001.
The wind resistance test verifies that, under the effects of pressure and suction, the door retains its properties and safety. It is carried out according to the conventional method described in the standard. As we can see Our doors have passed the tests satisfactorily. The Evidence They consist of two tests:
1. Resistance to static load: This test consists of applying certain forces, in
The direction of opening the door over various points around the door.
Deformation and maximum deflection test (pressure and depression) of the door.
2. Dynamic load test: Consist of hitting the door with a sack from a height
and with a specific weight in the direction of opening the door.
These tests tell us the maximum pressure to which the door can be subjected, after which the front relative deflection does not exceed the declared value and the properties of the door are maintained. We can say that this test gives us information about the rigidity of the profiles (moment of inertia) and the breaking strength of the fittings.
APPlus has certified that Portalum’s Sliding and Pivoting doors have passed the tests satisfactorily and obtain the Class II classification for wind.
